This is the third or fourth caddy I have bought (from various sources) for hand sewing. It is the best of all by far. The size makes it stable and easy to pick up. It has lots of places for scissors, seam rippers, and two posts for thread spools. Also a spot for a magnetic pincushion. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the two posts for spools have to be sanded down in order to fit in the holes drilled for them.
I spied this item while browsing here at ToolTron and thought it would be a nice thing to have for when I am making my small dolls and bears. I use a variety of tools that fit well into the holes and the pegs are great for the threads I use. Very handy to store all the tools together so they will be ready the next time I sew. It seems to be made very sturdily and I expect it will last for many years.
